2012 Kentucky Open Championships: This is where the cream of the crop participate to win part of a prize fund over $12,000 and an entry to the US Open to represent Kentucky. This is a three day tournament that takes 32 games for Men and 25 games for Women to win. Bowlers bowl at as many as 4 different houses and on 4 different patterns.

2012 Kentucky Mini Open Tournaments: These one day tournaments allow for bowlers to earn paid entries to the Kentucky Open for only $40, saving them $110 on the entry fee. Bowlers will roll a 5 game set moving pairs. 1 out of every 6 bowlers will earn a paid entry. Brackets and Jackpots will be available for bowlers to earn additional prizes. call 502-558-2241

High School Bowling KHSAA's newest Varsity Sport

Bowling has hit the big time in the bluegrass. The Kentucky High School Athletic Association has decided to add bowling as a varsity level sport for the 2011-2012 school year. Bowling will be a winter sport starting its matches in November and will conclude after the Boy's Sweet 16 in March. New schools across the state are excited to join those who have been members of the KBPA program for the past 9 years. More information will be provided once the KHSAA releases it.
